Red House

Red House” is a song by Jimi Hendrix, recorded in 1966 and released on the British edition of Hendrix’s debut album “Are You Experienced”, in 1967. It was produced by Chas Chandler.

It´s a moderately slow blues (66 bpm) with a conventional twelve-bar form in 12/8 and in the key of B and it was one of the first songs recorded by the Jimi Hendrix Experience and it’s based on the blues he heard when he started playing the guitar.

Hendrix performed “Red House” at many of his festival appearances, including Woodstock and the Isle of Wight. Also, many blues artists and groups have performed and recorded the song.
