“Have you Ever Seen The Rain?” is a song by the Californian rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, written by their singer and guitarist John Fogerty, and released in 1970 on their album Pendulum.
There is various speculation about the theme of the song’s lyrics, from the problems and tensions of the two brothers, John and Tom, with the later abandonment of the latter’s band, to the Vietnam War, although John Fogerty has never admitted none of them have only recognized in interviews that when he composed the song his mood was quite pessimistic but that when he listens to it now it produces a feeling of optimism and that it reminds him of his daughter Kelsy.According to the band’s bassist Stu Cook, the song was composed and rehearsed from scratch in a single session and was recorded in one take.
