Product Description

“London Calling” is a song by the English punk-rock band The Clash, included on their album also called “London Calling”, released in 1979.

The song, written by the band’s guitarists Joe Strummers and Mick Jones, was recorded at Wessex Studios, located in an old church in Highbury, north London and was produced by Guy Stevens while Bill Prince was the sound engineer.

“London Calling” quickly became a great success, entering the charts around the world and is perhaps the most representative song of the band’s sound, with a mix of the strength and provocation of punk, rhythms and lines of reggae and ska in the guitars and bass and a great load of satire and political criticism in the lyrics.

Personnel:
– Joe Strummer: Lead vocals and rhythm guitar.
– Mick Jones: Backing voclas and lead guitar.
– Paul Simonon: Backing vocals and bass.
