Come As You Are

“Come As You Are” is a song by the Seattle band Nirvana included on their 1991 second studio album Nevermind. It was released as the album’s second single in March 1992.

“Come As You Are” is, along with “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, the band’s biggest hit and are the songs that promoted and made grunge known to the world, becoming classics not only for the band but also for the musical style and music of the 90s.

American magazine Rolling Stone ranked “Come as You Are” at number 445 on its list of Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, and number 452 on the 2010 edition of the list. It was the band’s second and, to date, last US top 40 hit, peaking at number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100, and second UK top 10 hit, peaking at number nine. In April 2016, according to Business Insider, “Come as You Are” Was the 6th Most Streamed Song of the 1990s on Spotify.
