Fortunate Son

“Fortunate Son” is a song by the American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival composed by their singer, guitarist and leader John Fogerty and included on their 1969 album “Willie And The Poor Boys”.

The song was released in September of that same year as a single along with “Down On The Corner” and reached number 14 on the American charts, becoming a gold record in December 1970.

It is one of the band’s most listened to and well-known songs, it has been essential in CCR’s live performances while they remained united and after John Fogerty, it also became one of the most representative songs of the anti-war movement unleashed in the United States at the end of the 1990s. 60 for his intervention in the Vietnam War.
