Get Back Backing Track

“Get Back” is a song by the Liverpool band The Beatles composed primarily by Paul McCartney though credited to Lennon/McCartney. It was released as a single in April 1969 and later included on the album “Let It Be” which was released in 1970.

The single reached #1 in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, France, West Germany and Mexico, being the only single (along with the B-side “Don’t Let Me Down”) where they share credits. with other artists (Billy Preston).

The single version has an echo throughout the tape and a variation on the lyrics: “Get back Loretta / Your mommy’s waiting for you / Wearing her high-heel shoes / And her low-neck sweater / Get back home, Loretta.” This variation does not appear on the Let It Be album version, released until May 1970, but instead features an intentionally truncated ending. The single itself appears for the first time on an LP on The Beatles/1967-1970 compilation. It also appears on the Past Masters, Volume Two.
