“Come Together” is the first track on the eleventh studio album by legendary Liverpool band The Beatles “Abbey Road”, released in September 1969.
Although it is credited to Lennon / McCartney, the song was written by John Lennon and was a kind of dedication of the latter to Timothy Leary and his electoral campaign to be Governor of California.
The song was number 1 in the United States, Top 10 in England and was considered by the specialized magazine “Rolling Stone” as number 205 within the list of the 500 best songs of all time.
